About Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology: ​The Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), established in 1956 is located in Patiala.​ It is well well-recognised private university, holding an ‘A+’ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Last year as per the NIRF Rankings TIET ranked 20 on the list of top 100 engineering colleges, TIET’s rank dropped to 29.

The B Tech batch closed out on the highest placement offer of Rs. 55.75 LPA; the highest Average Salary rose to Rs. 14.37 LPA. The overall placement percentage for this batch stood out to be 83%. 

Sector-wise CTC Distribution:

• The heftiest pay was fetched in the Product sector, with the Highest CTC OF Rs. 55.75 LPA and an Average CTC of Rs. 14.37 LPA. 
• Next, in Core, the Highest CTC recorded this year was Rs. 22 LPA, with an Average CTC of Rs. 9.03 LPA. 
• In Consulting, the Highest CTC was Rs. 21.5 LPA with an Average CTC of Rs. 11.33 LPA. 
• For IT the Highest Salary was Rs. 13.5 LPA and the Average was Rs. 9.79 LPA. 
• EduTech saw the Highest Compensation of a maximum of Rs. 9 LPA and an Average Compensation of  Rs. 7.78 LPA.
