ISM IIT Dhanbad

About IIT Dhanbad :The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) is a public technical university and is the third oldest institute. It was established by the British India Government on the lines of  the Royal School of Mines London. On 25 May, 2016 ISM Dhanbad was converted into an Indian Institute to Technology (IIT) with the approval of the Union Cabinet.

B TECH Eligibility 

The candidates must adhere to the following criteria:

1.  Passed XII standard examination or equivalent 
2.  Mandatory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics PLUS two more subjects 
3.  Qualify JEE Main and JEE Advanced 
4.  Aggregate marks of 75% (65% for PwD candidates) in XII standard 

B Tech Selection Process 

1.  Students must appear for JEE Main
2.  They must qualify for the JEE Advanced, which is specifically for admission into IITs.
3.  After the result are out must seat for the JoSAA counseling and choose according to their preferences
4.  Seat is allocated based on the JEE Advanced rank
