IIT Palakkad

About IIT Palakkad : Established in 2015, the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (IIT Palakkad or IIT PKD) is a public autonomous engineering and research institute proposed in the 2014 Union Budget of India. It was established by the Government of India through the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961 and is recognised as an Institute of National Importance. 

B.Tech Courses Available:

1.  B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering 
2.  B.Tech in Civil Engineering 
3. B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering 
4.  B.Tech in Electrical Engineering 

Eligibility – The candidates must adhere to the following criteria:

1.  Passed XII standard examination or equivalent 
2. Mandatory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics 
3.  Qualify JEE Main and JEE Advanced 
4.  Aggregate marks of 75% (65% for PwD candidates) in XII standard 

Selection Process 

1.  Students must appear for JEE Main
2. They must qualify for the JEE Advanced, which is specifically for admission into IITs.
3.  After the result are out must seat for the JoSAA counseling and choose according to their preferences
4.  Seat is allocated based on the JEE Advanced rank
5.  To confirm their seat, students must pay the admission fee
