About IIT Hyderabad: The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT- Hyderabad or IIT-H) is a public technical institute founded in 2008 and is one of the fastest growing institutes of higher education. IIT Hyderabad is an Institute of National Importance. It was established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India under the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011 with technical and financial assistance from the Government of Japan.

Eligibility 

The candidates must adhere to the following criteria:

1.  Passed XII standard examination or equivalent 
2.  Mandatory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics 
3.  Qualify JEE Main and JEE Advanced 
4.  Aggregate marks of 75% (65% for PwD candidates) in XII standard 

Selection Process

1.  Admissions are primarily based on Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced Scores
2.  All candidates must register and appear for JEE Main and Qualify for JEE Advanced 
3. Once the JEE Advanced results are out, candidates are to participate in the (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) JoSAA counseling where based on their rank and category preference their seat allocation will be decided 
4.  Shortlisted candidates must complete document verification and pay the admission fee to confirm their seats
