About IIT Gandhinagar : Established in 2008, Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar ( IIT Gandhinagar or IITGN) is a public technical university. It had been declared by the Government of India as an institute of National Importance. It is one of the eight Indian Institutes of Technology announced by the Ministry of Human Resources Development in 2008.

B Tech Eligibility : The candidates must adhere to the following criteria:

1.  Passed XII standard examination or equivalent 
2.  Mandatory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics 
3.  Qualify JEE Main and JEE Advanced 
4. Aggregate marks of 75% (65% for PwD candidates) in XII standard 

B Tech Selection Process 

1.  Students must appear for JEE Main
2.  They must qualify for the JEE Advanced, which is specifically for admission into IITs.
3.  After the result are out must seat for the JoSAA counseling and choose according their preferences 
4.  Seat is allocated based on the JEE Advanced rank

Placement 

1.  Placement rate: 45.92%
2.  Average package: 18.20 LPA
3.  Median Package: 14.43 LPA
