About IIT Jammu: Founded in 2016, the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) is a public research university that came into existence after the Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu and Kashmir and the Department of Higher Education, Government of India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

B Tech Eligibility 

The candidates must adhere to the following criteria:

1.  Passed XII standard examination or equivalent 
2.  Mandatory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics 
3.  Qualify JEE Main and JEE Advanced 
4.  Aggregate marks of 75% (65% for PwD candidates) in XII standard 

Selection Process

1.  Admissions are primarily based on Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced Scores
2.  All candidates must register and appear for JEE Main and Qualify for JEE Advanced 
3.  Once the JEE Advanced results are out, candidates are to participate in the (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) JoSAA counseling where based on their rank and category preference their seat allocation will be decided
