About Manipal University :  The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal was established in 1957 as one of the first self-financing engineering colleges in the country. In 2000, it became a constituent institute of the deemed university – Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), which is known today as Manipal Academy of Higher Education

MIT offers a bachelor’s and master’s program in engineering streams. It also gives students the option to carry out full-time or part-time research. The minimum duration for postgraduate qualified PhD students is three years for full time, and four years for part-time.  The placement activity for UG (B Tech) and PG (MCA) batches usually starts in August, and the internship process for PG (MTech) batches starts in February onwards.

Manipal MET Registration Open Application for B Tech 2025: The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has started the application process for registering online for the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2025. Candidates can apply for MET 2025 at manipal.edu. MET will be conducted as an online test in slots, the dates will be updated later. 

Candidates qualifying the Manipal entrance test will be eligible for admission to the undergraduate courses offered by the university.

Manipal MET Eligibility: To be considered eligible to appear for MET 2023 BTech, applicants must have qualified Class 12th or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, English and Physics. They need to score at least 50% marks in Mathematics and Physics, and in any optional subject (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or any technical vocational subject). 

No minimum age limit is there for MET application.

B Tech application (GENERAL Category only):  is common application form, for admission to the BTech programs offered by MIT Manipal & MIT Bengaluru (MAHE Manipal), SMIT Sikkim (SMU Sikkim) and Manipal University (MU) Jaipur

Admission to the MBBS / BDS / MD / MS / MDS / DM / MCh courses will be on the basis of the rank obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and counseling / allotment of seats by Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi.

B Tech Programe at Manipal

Tech admission at Manipal Institute of Technology, it’s necessary for applicants to be Indian nationals. Applicants who have passed their 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade, or any equivalent examination can apply for admission.

• The B. Tech eligibility criteria mandate that their compulsory subjects include Physics, Mathematics, and English. In addition to this, their optional subjects should include technical vocational subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology. They should have scored a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the optional subjects.

B Tech Admissions :

General Category: Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal Entrance Test (MET) .

Foreign/NRI Category: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Note: Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI categories. Change of category from Foreign/NRI to General after admission will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Test Syllabus: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General English include questions based on the 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards /Universities.

Test Pattern:

Group 2: (Applicable to BTech/ BPharm/ PharmD courses). Duration- 2.30 hours, Questions-200 (MCQ). The approximate distribution of questions is as follows: Physics -50, Chemistry-50, Mathematics-70, English & General
